Here are answers to some common questions about how Stock Judge and our apps use and store your data..

Introduction

Our privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains the information we collect, how we use and share it, how to manage your privacy controls and your rights in connection with our websites and the related mobile applications and services (collectively, the “Services”).

Stock Judge is headquartered in North Yorkshire, UK and our Services are provided to you by Stock Judge, a brand brought to you by Catalyst Mobile Ltd.

This policy was written in English. To the extent a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls. Unless indicated otherwise, this Privacy Policy does not apply to third party products or services or the practices of companies that we do not own or control, including other companies you might interact with on or through the Services.

What personal information we collect

  • When you create a Stock Judge account. we store your name, and your email address and an encrypted password
  • When you sign in to Stock Judge we store a token on the server for temporary period.
  • When you sign up for a Stock Judge Annual subscription we do not store any personal details. it is all handled by your Apple or Google Play account.
  • Your personal information is never sold or shared with anyone else

Where are my events, competitions, and contacts stored?

In general, your events, competitions, and contacts are stored on your device and on the server. Your account’s password is stored securely on the server with your account details. No passwords are stored on the device

  • If you create a competition in Stock Judge, the event and competition is stored on Stock Judges servers so that the members can respond to the invites to enter their own competition placings.
  • When you sign in to Stock Judge we store a token on the server to ease login for temporary period.

Why does Stock Judge ask for the username and password of my accounts?

Stock Judge uses your username and password to securely login to our servers. The login process returns a one off token which is used in further data syncing of events and competition data from our servers to your device. Your account information is never used for any reason other than to sync your data.

What data is sent to Stock Judge when using the app

  • The names and details of your events and competitions.
  • The names and email addresses of the members you include in a competition.
  • The location of an event if included in the event details.
  • Your account can be deleted at any time from within the app settings section.

When does an app use my location?

Stock Judge uses your location for the following:

  • The app adds your location information to an event only
  • The location is only ever used on the app to show the location of an event.

When your location is sent off your device:

  • Your location is sent to Apple Maps to show relevant search results when searching for a location.
  • Your location is stored securely with the event details on the stock Judge server

Do you use end-to-end encryption when syncing data between devices?

Stock Judge uses end-to-end encryption to sync your events and competitions, and account usernames. End-to-end encryption ensures that nobody but you can access this data.

When does an app send data to Stock Judge?

  • When signing in
  • when you save an event or competition
  • When you publish a competition
  • Periodically to send anonymous version information about your device. Specifically, Stock Judge reports the version of Stock Judge, the version of iOS, the type of device (e.g. iPhone 7, iPad Pro), language (e.g. English, French).

How do I delete my Stock Judge account?

You can delete your account from the App settings > Account view. Deleting your account will alos delete all personal data associated with your account.

Where are Stock Judge servers located?

Stock Judge Servers are hosted on Digital Ocean in the UK
